Spring 2026 | Graphis Honorable Mention | Interaction Design

Subtxt was designed to address the isolation and surface-level engagement that often accompany modern studying. The challenge was to create a mobile experience that encouraged deeper focus, accountability, and connection—without adding pressure or complexity to students’ already demanding routines.

Grounded in research around student motivation, habit formation, and collaborative learning, Subtxt reframes studying as a shared experience rather than a solitary task. The interface emphasizes warmth and approachability through hand-drawn typography, playful iconography, and soft color relationships.

The final product presents Subtxt as a supportive, human-centered study companion. The project was well received by professors and peers alike, praised for its thoughtful research foundation, cohesive visual language, and empathetic approach to real student needs.
